BOOM, baby

Royal Highness, 6/01/2006
See? I told you you this rosebush was about ready to explode. First flush, first week of June. (And, as predicted, it did jump the gun by a few days - the flush really began on the 29th or 30th of May.)

The roses in my garden aren't the only things exploding into being. The strawberries that I planted last year have been yielding fruit for nearly a week.
The first few fruits were sacrificed to the slugs and to mildew, but with diligent picking and eating I will make sure that no more fruits go to waste!
