Sunset on the first day of Summer

Because, hey, who hasn't looked at a sunset and thought "I wonder what that would look like in high contrast monochrome?"
Did people take a lot of photographs of sunsets in the era of black-and-white photography?

A pretty sunset turned downright fiery on the first day of Summer, less that fifteen hours past the solstice. People throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania were probably capturing images of this sunset. This is my contribution, from Nanticoke.
