Vote! Honor! Feast! And then...Poetry!

November is shaping up to be a very busy month. This coming Tuesday, November 6, will be Election Day, the most significant* midterm election in modern history. For some, like those of us here in Pennsylvania, it will be our only opportunity to vote. For others in states with early voting, it will be the final day to vote. Whatever it is, as long as you're registered - and you damned well had better be registered if you're eligible - you need to get out on November 6 and VOTE.

Then there's Veterans Day (November 11) and Thanksgiving (November 22), but these are followed by the big event on Tuesday, November 27: Poems at the Pub, featuring Craig Czury!

This event will be at Dugan's Pub, 385 Main Street, Luzerne, PA starting at 7:00 PM. Dugan's has the look and feel of a roadhouse more than a pub, and the readings are held on the upper floor. The food is good, the beer is cold, and the seating is limited, so come early if you can! Craig is recently returned from his latest travels in Europe and is sure to draw a crowd. His reading will be followed by an open mic, so who knows who else you might hear!

The following night, Wednesday, November 28, will be a bonus night: another Edition of the Be Daring Open Mic at Adezzo in Scranton - sign-ups starting at 6:30, and performances at 7:00!

*Or at least, most-talked about; I consider 2014 to have been very significant.
