Three-day seven-day week

I was laid off yesterday, so this will be (at best) another three-day, 36-hour week. Fortunately I can pad this out with unused vacation days and turn it into a seven-day week. Which means I will be able to pay the bills that are due in the next few weeks, or at least put a dent in them.

This is going to be the least materialistic Christmas ever.

DB,

I am sorry to read you were laid off. Hopefuly it will not be long getting another job. Please don't be afraid to sign-up for unemployment as soon as you can. It seems that IB Bill got laid off as well per his site.

Best wishes. I'll follow this site for your progress.

Oh, no, this was a one-day layoff. Basically, the plant was shut down for the day. I'm still working Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights - and because I'm putting in 36 hours (three 12-hour days) I'm not eligible for unemployment this week. Life has gotten sadly complicated like that.

But thank you for the well-wishes! I can use all I can get!

Phew - I am happy to be mistaken. I know a lot of people affected by rolling layoffs that takes them out for 1 to 3 weeks.
