The daffodils, tulips, and irises are all spent. The first flush of roses is over, the blossoms wilting and fading, waiting to be replaced by the second flush in August. Late June is the time for daylilies. First up are the Stella D'Oro daylilies.
While these may superficially resemble daffodils, an actual comparison will reveal obvious differences.
And, of course, the obligatory high-contrast monochrome images. These also make an interesting comparison with the daffodil images.
I think next to bloom will be the tiger lilies, which are also a form of daylily.
