Deadline to register to vote in the 2008 Presidential election in Pennsylvania

Because I've been getting a lot of hits for this to a post about registration for the Pennsylvania Primary Election, I want to make sure everyone gets the correct information. From votesPA.com, The Pennsylvania Department of State's online voting information and resource center:

Registration Deadlines
In Pennsylvania, the deadline to register to vote is 30 days prior to each election. Applications received after that date will be processed for the next primary, special, municipal or general election. To participate in the 2008 Presidential General Election, register by October 6, 2008.

Make sure you’re registered in time for the next election.
Confirm your registration.

Confirm Your Registration
Not sure if you are registered to vote? You can confirm your registration by contacting your County Board of Elections or by calling 1-877-VOTESPA. You can find the contact information for your county at the
County Contacts and Web Sites page.

Once you have registered to vote, you are not required to register again unless you change your residence, name, or political party affiliation.
