Tired

It has been a very intense and exhausting last few days at work and next week promises to be much worse, with several quick-turn projects and a significant portion of our staff out of the office. I need to start stocking up on red wine...for my heart. Work is just something I do for money. No need to drop dead from stress.

I've stepped back from the twice-a-day posting schedule that I've been maintaining lately. Mostly this is because I am wiped out from work, but also because I am emotionally exhausted from the election. And I don't want to just post for the sake of posting. Unfortunately, some of the things I want to post will require a considerable commitment of time on my part, and right now I just want to lay down and watch Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

I don't know if I will be able to post much next week, but I will try. Maybe this weekend, too. I have more end-of-season garden work planned for tomorrow, assuming I'm not dealing with 2 to 6 inches of snow.

  1. Harold,

    Why I voted for Bush!

Iraq is my key concern. I believe the ‘War on Terror’, the economy and social issues are important but have a strong resistance to change regardless of the election outcome. These issues shift slightly left and right but are kept in balance by congress or are out of the Presidents control to begin with.

Our government believed that Sadam possessed WMD, harbored terrorists linked to Alqada and posed a threat to the US. The Iraq resolution authorizing force by the Senate details much more then WMD.

Bush tried to get the UN to enforce resolutions but was undermined by France with Russia and China following suit. If our UN allies stayed together the Iraq war would not be necessary. If Sadam saw no true alternative other then compliance we would not be in the situation we are today. What we know today is that these countries were being paid off by Sadam and these countries sent reassurances to Sadam that they would veto any military action in the UN.

Bush made a difficult decision to invade Iraq and stood for what he believed was right. The Democratic Party chose the UN line on the Iraq war and claimed Bush rushed to war with out a true coalition. The Democratic Party stood with France and Germany and claimed US casualties were a result of failed Bush administration policies.

Why did I vote for George Bush? The Democratic Party stood with France and accused Bush of being corrupt while the corruption of France and Germany is why our soldiers are dying today. Bush is right for defying the corruption in the UN and holding true to his beliefs in very difficult times. Bush is a leader!

  2. You based your vote on democrats siding with Germany and Russia? whoa. Bush is a leader eh? Leading this country into a war based on miscalculations and a hunch while leading the people through lies and deception, leading us with uhhhhhhs and derrrrs and heh hehs, leading this country towards higher rising health insurances, where one media outlet can own all raido, tv and newspapers in a city and declaring land that's been protected for years up for grabs for logging now.
    That's a great leader alright.

  3. Why didn't you address the corruption? This is typical of liberals....run away from the facts.
