Bush and "Irresponsible Debate"

I just read Our Beloved Maximum Leader's comments about "irresponsible debate", and I'm still spluttering and trying to formulate a response that isn't simply a knee-jerk. Next this guy will be telling us that the key to success is hard work, honesty, personal responsibility, and fair play - just look at where it's gotten him.

As usual, Adam Felber has addressed this issue far better than I ever could.

It looks like Felberpalooza 2006 is actually going to happen this Labor Day weekend right here in Pennsylvania! Look here for details.

Shame on you D.B. Know well know that any criticism of Bush, his policies, or his party gives comfort to the enemy. And, pay no attention to that man behind the curtain. The great and power Oz has spoken .... oh. excuse me, wrong movie, I forgot we're living in Independence Day and the President is gonna drop his fit ass into a fighter jet and go mano-a-mano with the aliens. Wait, wrong movie again, we're not even in a movie --- it must just feel that way --- I was getting ready to strap on some six shooters and head out to Crawford myself.

D.B., you just make sure that you keep the TV on and tuned to Fox. Make sure that you appear in front of the cameras regularly so you they know you're behaving, otherwise a little monitoring may be due. No need to worry about FISA approvals, because it's got the imperial presidency's seal of approval. After all, it's 2006, that's 22 years past 1984.

So, I was saying the great and power Oz has spoken.

Oh wait, we're back to that movie again. Damn those little flying monkey men.

Tangently yours,

Super G
